First animatic;

I used Adobe Premier Pro CS5 at home to edit my storyboard into an animatic, however when I uploaded it to Youtube the sound file is not embedded also, so this is my first draft with no sound and I am currently working on correcting the issue and will upload an updated version with the soundtrack.

I have investigated into how my animatic has no sound and have discovered that Youtube has muted the audio due to copyright infringement as the song is not my own. I shall try to upload the video directly on to blogger, however the last time I tried, the file size was too large so i have linked the song below.

One of the main issues I had in creating my animatic was syncing the audio to be intime with the images of waht video footage would be playing at the same time. I have highlighted in the screenshot above an example of were the sync has not gone perfectly to plan, hoever I hope these errors will not be as noticable or large when it comes to editing the actual footage together.

Characters;

These are the two main characters in my music video, on the left is Phil Bainton, who will be my singer, and on the right is Stephanie Halsey who will be female extra.

They both already have a high interest in vintage fashion and music so I believe they are perfect for my video.

When imaging my video, I had an instant idea of what style and look I wanted my actors to portray, after re-searching more into my artists pre-existing video's I decided that my ideal look of vintage/retro class would fit very nicely to the song.

As I have been largely influenced by the era of film such as the 20/30/40's I wanted to achieve a look that felt genuine and real to mise-en-scene of my location.
My first examples when planning the main singer(male) were actors such as James Dean and Warren Beatty, who are well known not only for their movies and their very noticeable good looks.
My friend Phil (pictured above) is a big fan of James dean and bases his own style upon his which is I felt he would be great for the roll.

As for the dancer role (Main female) I wanted to go for the same classic look such as Marilyn Monroe and Bette Davis. As the video is set within a vintage era I felt is highly important to have an actress that already looked as though they belonged in the era. My friend Stephanie (pictured above) is also highly influenced by Marilyn and Bette and already owns a variety of vintage dresses and has a lot of experience in vintage hair/makeup styles.
